New Hope offers a wide range of classes on a quarterly schedule.  Most classes run from 6-12 weeks. You must be a member to register for the class and membership fees of $35 are collected on a yearly basis.

To promote accessibility we offer a transport service for $2 round trip Monday and Wednesdays of the week. Please contact Evita at 514 484 0425 ex 225 or [email protected] to for more information and to register for a ride.

MIXED MEDIA ART

Sustainable FASHION WORKSHOP

Samantha will serve as your guide on a fashion forward journey that embodies environmental values and frugal sensibilities. The workshop includes an introduction to upcycling (using sewing, design, and alterations to repurpose old clothing and materials) and practical skills for building confidence and individuality through developing your personal style.

The Older Adult and Leisure/Layola Campus

A collaboration with Concordia University older adults become a valuable members of the class room participating in class discussions and readings.

A practice that involves a series of slow gentle movements and physical postures, a meditative state of mind, and controlled breathing. This course welcomes participants who have take n TAI CHI previously instructed by Heather McDow.

This group, facilitated by Jacques, explores the watercolour technique by using an image to copy. Geared for experienced watercolour painters who would like to practice in a group setting. Paper provided, but not paint.

Our tiny thrift shop is located at our Centre and provides low-cost clothing for our seniors and broader community. Donations can be dropped off Monday-Friday 9:30-2:30.

Gardening Group

Wednesday 2:30-4:30 at Layola Campus, Garden is located at the end of Terrbonne st.

Come and garden with us! Help New Hope grow the food used in our meals and for our piloted organic basket program. If you work one hour in the garden you can take a portion of harvest home. No experience necessary, just bring a hat and water.
