Meals on Wheels:
New Hope’s Meals on Wheels program provides nutritious homemade meals to seniors living in the NDG area. Our meals are prepared at our centre and are always made with love by our kitchen team. Our caring volunteers deliver the meals to help break the isolation of seniors in the community. Volunteer Opportunities:
New Hope thrives on our wide volunteer base. We have over one hundred dedicated volunteers. We are always looking for new people to join our team. There are many ways to volunteer for New Hope for example: teach a course, help provide transport, deliver meals, join the board and or share your expertise. Would you like to make a difference in an isolated senior’s life? We are currently looking for volunteer drivers to pick up and drop off members at the centre, Monday and Wednesdays of the week.
Activities and Specialized courses:
New Hope offers a wide range of different classes, from health and wellness, art and technology on a quarterly schedule along with seasonal outings.

Continuous $2-25 price range per item
Our tiny thrift shop is located at our centre and provides low-cost clothing for our seniors and broader community. Donations can be dropped off Monday-Friday 9:30-2:30.
Full Circle Garden Program: Seed to Plate!
Partnership with mind.heart.mouth at Concordia Layola Campus New Hope offers volunteer opportunities at the garden, uses the produce for our meals and provides low cost delivery of vegetables directly to peoples doors.
Day Program:
Get transport to the center, exercise and stay for a delicious homemade lunch and play bingo for prizes.
Community Lunch:
Come in and enjoy a homemade three course meal every Wednesday 12-1pm for $7.00. You can also take home a meal or homemade frozen soup!
Transport to and from New Hope:
If you live in NDG and would like a lift to the center Mondays and Wednesdays, a volunteer will pick you up between 9-10 am and return you home between 1-2 pm. $2 per ride. You must be able to get in and out of the car without assistance.
